5 Must-Have Success Habits That Will Make You A Winner In Life

5 Must-Have Success Habits That Will Make You A Winner In Life

Success comes largely from what you do every day, and not so much from what you do once in a while. Daily consistent action is the key to success.

And this is why most people fail to achieve great success in life. Most people thought that success is about taking that one big action, making the one decision or doing something bold. It is not.

Aristotle has a great saying, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence is not an act, but a habit.”

If you want to be successful and become the best in what you do, you must make it a habit. It is what you do each day that counts. So here are 5 must-have success habits that will make you a winner in life.

1. Positive Expectation

You must think positive and act positively at every moment. Successful people are positive people who expect great things to happen.

Think about it, if Steve Jobs was negative about the market, thinking that the economy is gloom and soft, do you think he would invest millions and launch so many iconic products?

The same goes for Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX. Elon is extremely positive about the future and that helps him venture ahead into Space and building electric cars.

You will never dare to make a move or try to do something out of the ordinary if you don’t expect to get good results.

So be positive and always expect something good to happen.

2. Always Put In 100% Commitment

The main difference between successful and unsuccessful people is that successful people are 100% committed to their dreams and their goals.

Extraordinary people are willing to do whatever it takes to achieve their dreams and reach their goals. They are willing to wake up as early as 5am and stay later to work on their dreams. They choose to work on their goals even during weekends.

On the other hand, unsuccessful people choose to do what is convenient for them. They will say that they want to build a successful business, but when they get back home from working, all they do is watch TV.

You are what you do, not what you say you will do. Thus, make sure you put in 100% commitment into your dreams and your goals.

Do whatever it takes to accomplish your goals. Stop all your excuses and find creative ways to solve your problems.

3. Surround Yourself With Successful People

Do you know that you will become the average of the five people whom you spend the most time with? You will never see professional athletes train with rookies, why? This is because if you want to get better, you have to train with people who are better than you.

Therefore, mix and surround yourself with other successful people. Let their positive energy lift you up and let their dreams inspire you.

Les Brown once said, “If you want to fly with the eagles, stop swimming with the ducks.”

You will become who you associate with most of the time. Starting from now, spend more time with people who have accomplished more than you, and surround yourself with other positive people.

Make the effort to get to know the movers and shakers in your industry. Make friends with them and who knows someday you may need their help.

4. Be Proactive

Successful people are able to produce a remarkable result in life because they are proactive. They are the ones who will go and make things happen rather than wait for things to happen to them.

Conversely, unsuccessful people are reactive. They wait for things to happen instead of working on their goals.

Do you know how Richard Branson got the idea to start an airline? He was stranded in a Puerto Rican airport due to flight cancellation. Most people would have just waited for the next flight but not Sir Richard Branson. He chartered a plane, sold the remaining seats to other stranded passengers and the rest was history.

So stop waiting for things to happen. Instead, go ahead and make things happen.

5. Seek Help

You cannot achieve outstanding success without the help of others. Steve Jobs started Apple with Steve Wozniak, and Walt Disney started his business with Roy Disney.

If you are trying to do everything on your own, you will find it extremely difficult to break through and build amazing results in life.

Thus, seek help and learn from others. You can always get a mentor or ask around for help. Read more books, constantly improve yourself and always be ready to learn.

If you want to lose weight, you can do it yourself, or you can get a personal trainer. When you do it yourself, it will be difficult because you may not have a plan. When you get a trainer, you will be more committed, and you will have someone to show you the right way to get the results that you want.

Make it a habit to read, to learn and improve every day. Spend 30 minutes in reading and learning each day.

These are the 5 must-have success habits you need to adopt if you want to build a successful life.

    Very well written.
It’s true that success can’t be achieved without certain traits. The traits mentioned here sure look to be amongst those. Apart from these, I also believe that Morning routine also plays a major role in one’s success.

Motivational Speakers such as Robin sharma(and some others as well) have been Long time advocates of Getting up Early and following a Morning Routine.

I am recently reading the 5 AM CLUB by Robin Sharma.
